    Cincinnati Financial’s headquarters facility earned its 2020 ENERGY STAR certification for superior energy performance driven by efforts to save energy, reduce pollution and increase efficiency. To receive this certification, commercial buildings must perform in the top 25% of similar buildings nationwide, based on key metrics such as energy performance, occupancy, hours of operation and more. ENERGY STAR certified buildings average 35% less energy usage, cause an average 35% fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and are less expensive to operate than their peers while meeting strict requirements for occupant comfort.

    Cincinnati Financial ranks No. 416 out of 500 publicly traded companies in Newsweek’s 2016 Top Green Companies in the U.S. The study measured environmental performance using eight key performance indicators: energy, carbon, water and waste productivity; green revenue score; sustainability pay link; sustainability board committee; and audited environmental metrics.

Forbes, working with the research firm Statista, compiled the annual list by independently surveying more than 60,000 employees at companies that employ at least 1,000 people in the United States.
